Playing Arena and Daggerfall

So I've been playing Bethesda's love child Elder Scrolls series and thanks to Anthology I'm able to enjoy playing the earlier Elder Scrolls games like Arena and Daggerfall and between those two I rather enjoy Arena the most here's why.

Arena: Your quest is simple travel around Tamriel and collect the staff of Chaos and defeat Jager Tharn, no guilds, some side quest but mostly just do this massive quest and be done with it. I also find it odd that Arena's more playable then Daggerfall and Arena's a much more older game . Anyway Arena is defiantly enjoyable I love it.

Daggerfall: Now that i've found patches this game is playable but it still has issues with some quest just not kicking in. I'm able to do the main quest but now some of the fighter guilds quest don't kick in. I was doing this mission to kill a giant near some ruins but neither a walkthrough or the game itself tells me how to encounter this giant, a walkthrough just says to go to the dungeon and the giant's there, but when I went there, not only is the dungeon small but no giant. So maybe the outside----nope natta. Even when I lounge around or rest no giant arrives so this quest is a failure.

Daggerfall's nice and at least I get to experience it but it's just not my favorite game out of the main series.

Overall I love Arena there's something in that game that's just set with me and makes me enjoy it greatly . So what's your guys memories of the earlier TES games ? Oh one more thing---I hate the people the pubs in Arena, some of their comments really makes me want to punch them lol.
