For some reason I can no longer place weapons on weapon racks, even in my stock homes. This seems to happen after installing Dragonborn and I have the unofficial patch.

Anyone else see this issue?

I've had this happen on occasion where a weapon rack can hold 5 weapons and I can only place 3. I've heard of the issue your having though but I do not know of a fix. I haven't experienced it myself being unable to put anything on a rack.

Can you select the rack but the weapon just falls on the floor? custom weapon mods can do this.

Is it a vanilla home or a Hearthfire home?

I don't have any custom weapon mods, this is happening in a vanilla home but it also happens in my levellers tower (mod).

I try and place one equipped weapon on the rack and it simply falls to the floor.

I know alot of weapons are bugged and cant be placed on racks.

yup... this might be the problem your having.

what weapon are you trying to place?

Off the top of my head I know Zephyr comes to mind.

It happens to me to with that weapon. I can not figure out why or how to fix it. I just set it in a case, works oddly enough for me.
