I wonder if they'll call it "Slaughterhouse 7".
Isn't it obvious? Not thinking about it at all.
At this point, is there anything else they can do with the game besides give it some new maps?
Oh there is a ton of stuff they can do. Lots. Lots and lots and lots.
Will they though? Nah. Probably add a bit more flash, and as you said, new maps. It wouldn't surprise me if they overhauled the engine into a new one, sort of like how Bethesda "made" the Creation Engine. Would give the game a fresh look.
I don't know, maybe they'll actually make a new mode like competitive career mode. You know, where victories matter on a larger scale than just a notch in your win/loss stat sheet.
Nah, that'd be too "spreadsheety" for the majority of their established fanbase.
Another year, another horde of morons who waste £40/$60 on the same thing.
Not really. CoD isn't really known for changing much for the past few years. I don't see why anyone even gets excited about them anymore; they come out too often.
I assume they're going to glorify war even further are they.
They still rake in the cash hand over fist with each release. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is their philosophy.
And that's why I said what I did. People don't really get excited about these games, they just buy them to stay "up-to-date." As soon as a new game comes out in the series, the old ones are forgotten for the most part. I think it's really sad.
That's why I don't expect anything really revolutionary with this release, at most maybe a bit of polish to the graphics, more gore and some new maps. To me it looks like a marketing gimmick similar to what a detergent maker does when they change the package a bit and include a "New and Improved!" label on it.
Pretty much. It turned into a big joke to me after I bought MW2 and ended up just giving it to my brother. Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't release a new title every year, or if they didn't have three different groups of guys now making the same game.
And of course to play online with your friends, you have to have the same game they have. So, this yearly release is almost like an MMO with a yearly subscription fee.
That's probably the best way of summing up the franchise that I've ever read.
I just want them to create a stand alone Zombie game. It's the only reason I cared for the last games, not once was I in multiplayer matches, or did i play the story. At least Zombies was fun. Can't say the same for anything else.
