Rebooting means doing everything from scratch... Skyrim took 4 years to make and upgrading a game so big would take min 4 more years. Not worth it for them.

I agree, for all the above reasons but include all of Morrowind (not just Vvardenfell) which would mean opening up the gate by Riften to Morrowind. Also, Blackmarsh is adjacent to Morrowind's land mass so add that too. I would definately buy it, it wouldn't be a reboot but a "port."
my bad on the choice of words, i meant a port from the pc to the ps4
I agree with pepe silvia, rather have a morrowind reboot over skyrim which I was painfully disappointed by. That being said I can see why any one would want a game they like redone for the new consoles, shiny new graphics and whatnot to enjoy and get more out of a game you already like. Ultimately I just want Fallout 4 or TES VI more.
It would have been nice if the new consoles had some backwards compatibility. Even if it was only to the previous generation.
X86 hardware can't run software made for PowerPC architecture. Emulation is also out of the question since it requires many times more power than the new gen has.
A.k.a. Gaikai formerly, I actually don't see any reason why Skyrim wouldn't be added to that. Another reason why porting Skyrim to PS4 is rather unnecessary.
