Recently I uninstalled and reinstalled Oblivion and swapped out some mods on my list, and when I got a little ways into my game I had some strange glitches happen. At random times my screen would turn totally black accept the crosshair and interface, and I would have to use the exit menu to restart the game to solve the problem, also every once in a while when I try to talk to an NPC the camera tweaks out and goes bonkers for a few seconds when zooming into their face. The other glitch with is where my character turns completely invisible for no reason, even though the NPC's can still see me. Does anyone know what is causing these glitches? Ive never had these problems before.

The problem might be one of my mods installed, so these are what I'm using. I don't know how to post the list unfortunately :facepalm:

Do you use an Nvidia graphics card by any chance? Some of it sounds like the black screen bug. (wrye bash has a fix for that)

The rest, I am not sure.

It turns out my graphics card is an Nvidia, I wasn't sure since my brother installed it for me after he got it from a friend. I'll try out the mod for the black screen bug and hope it works, thanks for replying.

I tried playing the game with the Nvidia Black Screen fix, but sadly I'm still getting the problem every once in a while, completely black screen save for the crosshair, compass/health bar, and weapon/magic icons at the bottom of the screen. =(

Which mod did you use to try and fix it?

I tried out this mod after reading that some people with similar problems used it. Also, I never had problems with the black screen while sneaking.

I still can't figure out whats going on completely with the black screens, they happen both interior and in the exterior. I have an idea though, my Nvidia Black Screen Fix by Quarn is being loaded after a few of my mods in the load order, but that's the only way BOSS wants to organize it. I don't know how to use downloads like WYRE Bash yet, so would anyone know a way to move the bug fix mod to the top of the load order under the latest patches? It might just help.

Never mind, I had to update BOSS and it says its loaded at the top of the list now, no idea what to do if this doesn't work. :brokencomputer:
