Wisdom tooth

Anyone experience wisdom tooth pains? My other one is coming through now, and the tooth itself isn't causing too much pain (though if my suspicions are correct it might be moving all my teeth out of place thus rendering two years of braces pointless) it has ripped a bit of gum, so now I am left with a little flap of gum on top of my tooth that gets food stuck under it all the time and is quite sensitive to touch, so I kind of have to leave my mouth open a bit to stop my upper gum from touching it, which is quite annoying. I think the reason the tooth itself doesn't hurt is because I have a gap on the other side of my mouth between two teeth where I had one taken out ages ago, which would explain why my other one came through with no pain at all. I'm gonna leave it for a few weeks and if this bit of gum doesn't snap off or lose blood or whatever I'll just go the dentist and see what he says.

Anyone else have this sort of experience?

Your gums could get infected or severly irritsted, i just recently have my right wisdom tooth pulled, the gum had nearly swallowed the tooth, so it was painful to chew, i suggest dentist, 'cause my gum never tore off or bleed, just got worse.,,

Mine came out relatively painlessly, just normal mild pressure and sensitive gums. But I'd see a dentist just to be safe. If it's growing correctly, you'll probably be fine, but at risk of infections because of ripped gum. If there's not enough space in your jaw, the tooth is impacted and presses against other teeth, the gum gets inflamed etc. Not a pleasant experience. My sister got terrible headaches because of it.

Only one of my wisdom teeth actually bothered to come through, the others still lurking in my jaws somewhere at rather jaunty angles (I have a small mouth and there's not really room for them) but that ambitious one did start causing similar problems a couple of years back so had to be removed. It was pretty painless, even for someone who's fairly resistant to local anaesthetic, and now sits on my desk looking at me.

As long as they aren't affecting your other teeth, don't worry about them. And by affecting, I mean destroy, because that's what they do when they fully come in and are left in there with very little mandible room. Speaking from experience.. I miss all my long gone molars :(

As for the OP, there will be pain(slightly subjective) whenever the wisdom tooth resumes its course to the surface of your gum. And then when that's achieved, it will later begin the process of pushing all the other teeth forward. And that is going to hurt.
