Im thinking of replacing my original edition with the legendary edition but i would like to know if melee is better in that version much like how the deadly combat mod did for the pc. ( a stupid thought but worth a try ) Im playing on xbox 360 for this.

No, its just Skyrim with all the dlcs. No other difference.
