Imperial and Magic resistance

Post » Thu May 08, 2014 8:35 pm

I am going to be starting a new character this weekend. I am thinking on playing as one of three races. Imperial, Breton or Nord. My question is if I play

as an imperial what is a good way to compensate for the lack of magic resistance at the beginning? I have played an imperial before and that was

my main problem early on. I got destroyed by some of the magic users before I could even get close enough to do any damage. I didn't have this

problem when I've played as a Breton. Thanks for any help.

The Lord Stone would be your first priority then. Level up Alteration to get the 3 magic resistance perks.

Lord Stone at first. Or even Atronarch Stone, put that wasted magicka to use, lob those spells right back. But if you're not using magic, it makes it even better, you wont have to worry about lost regen.

IMO atronach stone is the best stone in the game, easily.

Doesn't that prevent you from using Conjuration for some reason though?

sometimes, and it does not do it if you have the unofficial patches on the PC. What happens is that the game apparently sees summoning as "Against you" and sometimes absorbs it.

You could do the Book of Love quest for the Agent of Mara affect(15% magic resist) and level alteration to get the magic resist perks.
