I was a teenager during the 1980s, and your post got me thinking about the 90s culture, and to be honest I really don't miss the 90s, but I do miss the 80s sometimes and that reminded me that I really liked the movie Rock of Ages. Probably because it featured all the music that was popular when I was in high school.

This for me as well. When it came to movies, Godzilla was a my childhood.

OP sort of summed up my taste in films. All of my favorite films are either crime or western (or at least, takes place during that time period in which case it could sometimes be considered historical).

Well, at least we're getting the new crossover of the Man of Steel and Dark Knight real soon. Too bad Christian Bale is no longer Batman, but I'll give the new one a chance
