JUST FOR FUN: Super Easy Play Level

Post » Sat May 10, 2014 8:42 am

By now many people here are familiar with my usual style of play.

CHALLENGE! Always CHALLENGE!!!

Find the limits - try the hardest way!

Look for things nobody else has tried (which is unlikely, considering how long this game has been out)

GO for ALTERNATIVE Methods, that few have tried, and see how they play...

"Il nous faut de l'audace, encore de l'audace, toujours de l'audace!"

*Georges Danton ~ "We must dare, dare again, always dare!"

(often mis-attributed to Frederick the Great)

But there comes a time when after all the hard pressing forward it is fun to have a complete counterpoint, a taking of air, the persuit of pure entertainment and merriment...

And for this purpose I have tonight created a Khajiit for that very reason. A player char who's only purpose is to allow me to just go have some fun, even as ridiculously easy as playing at that level is. A toy for nothing more than just plain amusemant...

The custom class that I created for it?

"COMEDIAN"

He is named Tigger - (from the Pooh stories) Tiggers are made out of rubber. Stuff just bounces off of him and he dances along his merry way :D

Very fun idea and I really liked his name!

Sometimes it can be fun to do like you said, the complete opposite of what you normally do. Even if it presents little to no challenge it can still be very fun just to explore another playstyle. Enjoy! :)

It's stupid easy - but yeah....

For a break in the routine, and just to go bowl over a bunch of what would normally be some seriously vicious nasty things - it's quite the kick!

I find myself having a good ol' time with it - and it goes very fast that way

I occasionally make a god-like "uber" character, for roleplaying reasons. I find that, when playing certain characters, eliminating challenges allows me to put my entire concentration on my roleplaying and storytelling.

The great thing about these games is that they can be approached many different ways. Sometimes I'm in it for the story. Sometimes I'm in it for the challenge. There are as many ways for me to have fun with an Elder Scrolls game as I have moods.

Sounds like a fun and creative idea. I have been experimenting with moving the difficulty slider to the easiest setting but for different reasons.

I have been forced to drop the difficulty of my game down to the lowest setting for exterior combat because of a weird FPS problem. I posted it over in the mods forum but so far no one has offered an explanation or a solution, but extended combat in exterior spaces has been dropping my FPS, and even after the combat is completed, it won't come back to normal. It stays low even after rebooting the PC. I don't know what is causing that, but I have been avoiding it by avoiding extended combat in exterior areas by just dropping the difficulty and quickly killing anything that attacks me. If combat ends quickly, the FPS never drops so I don't have to deal with a permanent FPS reduction getting burned into the save game.

Whenever I enter a dungeon I go into options bad reset the difficulty back to normal. I've been roleplaying it by thinking that the typical rabble and wildlife you find in the open is just not as tough as the stuff you find lurking deep underground and it has been kind if fun to feel powerful, instead if weak when wandering the countryside.

With the mods I have running, instead of spawning say a single wolf you will get a pack of between three and six wolves and some of them will be Dire Wolves that are nearly as tough as mountain lions. Instead of roadside bandits you might get Valenwood Rangers who are tougher than typical bandits and can summon bears. So wandering the country side can be a dangerous place but a lot easier with the difficulty turned down.
