How am I supposed to kill Draugr Deathlords

Post » Mon May 12, 2014 3:20 am

So my character is lvl 77, and I'm at the mission where you get dropped off by the dragon (ohdaviing I think) to go to sovngarde. Seemerd quite easy, but the !@#$/^& deathlords keep shouting and keep killing me even though I have full dragon plate armor. What do I do? Is there an easy way to kill them? Close range archery doesn't work. And sneaking is out of the question as after 1-2 kills they always find me.......
P.S. I usually use wuuthrad, or glass sword and spell breaker shield combo. I also have a daedric bow. I have almost all shouts.

keep your distance and use your Bow.
Use the Force. The Unrelenting Force...
Use cover to avoid being shouted to death. there's a lot of cover... and shouting... haha

I managed to do it at around level 35... It just took time. Run into the fray, fire a few arrows, run away again. Run back, fire some more arrows, run away. If I'm at a good vantage point, Fus Ro Dah one off the edge, and such forth. It was grueling, with many a death... But I managed to get through it all in the end.

I'm surprised you're difficulty, especially at that level. What's you're AR and Health? Raise Spellbreaker when they shout, the shield will absorb the shout. When you get close, bash and attack.

Dayum... you svck

But i kid, use the Spellbreaker to your advantage, that shield is damn powerful if not game breaking in ways since it nullifies shouts *which I find to be bloody stupid*. Raise it and once the spell ward on it activates it should nullify the shout. If that doesn’t work for some reason then the next best bet is to time your block bashes, or fight in an area where you can quickly reach cover. Honestly it's so easy to prevent the draugr from shouting just by timing your block bashes, the same goes for dragons.

Unless you have an older version of the came and your console isn't hooked up to internet, the OI glitch was patched.

I'm guessing the book didn't grant the actual player's experience, along with the character's levels

Anyway, you've got a lot deathlord archers in there. Don't be a sitting duck in front of their arrows.

Hit and run from a distance with your bow, or get Elemental Fury and a weapon with fire damage.

At level 77, you should definitely be the winner.

Why would you do that on your first play through as opposed to developing your character naturally and learning how the game actually works?

Not true, i was still able to do it after the patch. Instead of using the bookshelf trick i simply dropped the book on the floor, picked it up again, rinse and repeat  though i only did that once, and that was to test out what perks were useless, min/maxing on the console version ect.
