Regarding patch 1.9 and the Oghma Infinium glitch.

Post » Mon May 12, 2014 1:17 pm

Hello people.

This may be an old topic already but please enlighten me on this. I understand that patch 1.9 deprived players of using the Oghma Infinium as a glitch for fast leveling. I also understand by deleting the patch, I would not be able to load my current character as the screen would display that gameplay was played at a later version.

My first concern is what if I delete the patch and I start a whole new character, would the Oghma Infinium glitch be available to me?

My second concern would be, if my patch was deleted, does that bring my version of Skyrim down to version 1.8 or does it brings me back to the very first version 1.0? As I learnt that each downloaded patch actually overwrite each other, so chances are I won't be down to version 1.8 but I'd like to make sure.

Thanks for reading and any kind soul would like enlighten me on the above issue? Thanks alot. :twirl:

If you have the old skyrim (black box) game, you could play without the 1.9 patch. (So your internet should be disabled)

You could just play skyrim with the 1.0 *** patch until the Infinium glitch (level up), and then install the 1.9 patch. I do not know the consequences of those changes, concerning your gameplay.

Normally, it shouldn't be a problem.

However, if you have the Legendary edition, it is impossible to play without the patch, because it's already inside the installation files. !!!

---------------

As it is now, if you don't install the patch at all, you will have skyrim 1.0 *** !!!

*** I'm not sure if it's 1.0 or 1.1 (It could be 1.1) !!!

Right now whenever I start the game, it prompt me that new version (1.9) is available so I assume mine is at least 1.8 and below. So from the beginning I just level up to 15 and do the quest will do. Mine is the blackbox one and I'm currently playing offline. Hope nothing goes wrong!
