Cannot select quest objectives : V

Hello all. First time poster here so please be kind I am playing Skyrim via PS3 for the last few months. Level 35 right now. I have a ton of quests to complete. One of them was all the Miscellaneous quests that added up throughout the game. So I went in and diligently starting finishing them one by one. I am now down to three left bu all of a sudden some things have changed. On the actual main quest list when I hit the X button it tags that quest. That part is fine. However two things happen from there. I go to tag the objectives and in the Miscellaneous quests I can tag the objectives but now I can now longer see the helpful pointers on the map of where to go. It does not put the pointer in the direction bar on top of the screen either. So I tried other normal quests and objectives and it lets me tag the quest but I cannot tag any of the objectives in the normal quests. I tried backing up to a previous save and still the same thing. Last night I even switched to another character I had started a few weeks ago and I get the same results. Might I have done something wrong somewhere? Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Are these the radiant "gather something for someone quests" that never go away? Those tend to not have map markers.

Without being home to see them exactly I do remeber there are 3 objectives left in the Miscellaneous quests. One i something like Bring statue of Dibella to Lisbet. Another is Assist people of Winterhold (2/3). And I cannot remember the third. Those I can tick however nothing else happens in the direction bar up on top nor do I see any help on the map that I used to see. Also on all the other normal quests I can click on the quest and then I move to the right into the objectives but none of them allow me to click on them to "turn them on". No direction bar help and no map help either.

Those are all the possible quest you can do, for assisting people on Wintehold. !!!!

Do you have Dragonborn installed? I found that some quests were on Solstheim and you need to travel there for the quest to be seen on the map.

Yeah, that's true, so keep an eye on that !!!!
