First Game you bought with your own money

What's the first game you bought with your own money? To accommodate our elderly members board games and the like are acceptable.

I'm pretty sure my first one was Knights of the Old Republic for PC with money earnt from mowing the school next doors oval. Money well spent, definitely worth it.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe Devil May Cry 3. Funny because that was about the only game I never actually played at all when I was Abessalom Junior. Money well spent.

I think it might have been E.T. for the Atari system when it was first released. That was a wise investment :bonk: .

I sold a bunch of my older stuff at a yard sale when I was about 9 or 10 years old, specifically with the idea in mind to go buy Mega Man 6. I made like $2 more then I needed, and immediately bugged my mom to drive me down to Kmart so I could buy it. Got back home and played it for several hours straight until I managed to beat it. Was so happy ^^

Scratch what I said before. First game I bought with earned money was a copy of Phantasy Star when I was 9. I spotted it at a flea market, but it was unopened and new. I still have it that way too.

I bought another copy about a year later...just the cartridge.

Man, some of you are practically babies! I could be wrong, but I remember saving my $5 a week allowance for months to get Super Metroid. So I'll go with that.

AD&D. I was 12 or 13 at the time and bought my own books and dice and everything. It's been three and a half decades since then and I still have them.

I do not, of course, intend to elevate myself to the status of "respected elder" or anything. Still, Playstation 2 and Xbox games? That's like, yesterday!

Wii Play. Among the stupidest buys I ever made along with the Wii itself, I haven't touched either in years.

Nah, improvise. When my buddy tried to take advantage of his speed compared to his granddad, Pops didn't even have to get off his rocker. He just grabbed his nail gun and shot the kid. Work with what you got available, Senior Senors.
