Hi, I have an idea of whom to recruit for the Blades. However, I need a little clarification. First, when the new members are recruited, will they be given and equipped the Blades armor and weapon? I was thinking of recruiting Onmund to have a mage Blade, will he continue to wear his robes or the new Blades armor? I will also bring in Lydia (so she'll have something better to do than hang around in my Breezehome doing nothing). I'm thinking of recruiting my current follower Janessa or another mage Ilia? Is it ok to have two mages in the Blades? Is it suitable for them or do I need a more warrior type of recruit to be most useful in killing dragons? Once a follower is recruited, can he/she still come along with me in my radiant quests ? Thanks for your thoughts!

Any follower you recruit to the Blades will equip Blades Armor. This has been known to replace their default armor and anything you might have given them to hold onto. Consider it like an inventory reset.

I only had one character that ever recruited for the blades. She gave them Faendal, Mjoll and Illia. I honestly do not think it matters the skills of who you give them. Its more or less how you RP it. If your RPing a serious attempt at rebuilding the Blades, who do you want in the ranks?

anyone you induct into the blade with switch to using Blades (Heavy) Armor, Shield, Sword, and a bow (I can't remember what type of bow to be honest)..

as such, when inducting followers into the Blades, it is good to keep this in mind, and pick followers who excel in these Skills

OK, if I recruit a mage into the Blades like Onmund, he will be given a Blades sword, will he stop using magic when fighting dragons?
