Which mods improve upon Morrowind Overhaul v3.0?

Post » Sat May 17, 2014 8:13 am

First things first, let me say that I fuarking LOVE Morrowind Overhaul. I have been using Morrowind Mods since roughly 2004 and I never came close to make the game this beatiful.

On the other hand: some time passed after the latest version of Morrowind Overhaul has been released. I wonder if there are some new must have mods that improve upon the already excellent content of Morrowind Overhaul.

Especially the night sky is something I'm not 100% happy with. It's far too colorful for my liking.

But I'm interested in all suggestions really (not only for the night sky).

There are a number of mods that are not included in the Overhaul either because they are new or the creators of the Overhaul did not have permission to use them. I don't have time to make a somewhat complete list right now, but off the top of my head I can definitely recommend all http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/searchresults/?src_order=1&src_sort=0&src_view=1&src_tab=1&src_name=bump__mapped&src_language=0&src_auth=lougian&src_showadvlt=1&page=1&pUp=1 and also http://download.fliggerty.com/download-127-874. Also, I highly recommend installing the http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/41102/?, it is greatly superior to the previous version included in MGSO.

And maybe you are interested in my plant and Weapon replacers, too. You can find the ones I already released here: http://dreamsofthaera.blogspot.de/p/morrowind.html

I also recently finished work on my mesh replacer for the steel weapons. You can either download them in the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1496399-wipzrelz-improved-meshes-weapons/ or wait a few days until I release them on the Nexus.

Concerning the sky, there is beta of SWG's Skies v4 (MGSO uses v3), but since you asked for LESS colorful nights, it might not be for you. Concerning other mods, I won't make complete list either, but some significant pieces: Bloodmoon better clothes mod, Better Morrowind armor with all it's additions, Better robes, all updates recommended in latest MGSO thread and some new retextures (Aoimevelho's Cavern of the Incarnate and Akulakhan, Apel's Fire and rain, etc.).
