In a recent interview Todd Howard stated that http://www.gamespot.com/articles/fallout-4-don-t-expect-an-announcement-anytime-soon/1100-6417842/ before they announce the next game. Most of us assume that next game will be Fallout 4. So let's further assume that Bethesda announces Fallout 4 sometime late this year. We can exprect the game to be released a year after that, at the earliest. That places a Fallout 4 release date in late 2015. Add another year for DLC. We're now in fall 2016.
Now. Let's be optimistic and say Bethesda announces TES VI right after that. We can expect another year to pass before a TES VI release date. Which places TES VI in late 2017.
But they are dealing with new console technology this time around and, besides, I'm sure they don't want to get caught up in the same mistake they made with 11/11/11.. So it's possible that the TES VI release date may be postponed to a date later than 2017. My guess is that TES VI will be released in either late 2017 or early 2018
How do I feel about that? I'd rather see the game right now, but I'm still playing Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. I have plenty of Elder Scrolls to keep me busy for years to come.
