ActiveMovie and Radio Signal Oscar Zulu

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 4:59 am

When I tuned in to Radio Signal Oscar Zulu I kept getting a window popping up called ActiveMovie. From what experimenting I've done it only seems to happen when I'm listening to Radio Signal Oscar Zulu. Not even the signals for the other drainage chambers seem to be affected, though I've only tested a few of the others I admit.

Now I've found the drainage chamber and deactivated the signal, so this problem may well not affect the rest of the game for me. But I still am perplexed by this issue. Checking in FO3edit doesn't seem to show any mods affecting that signal, but here is my load order, sorted by LOOT, if that is of any use

I've searched through the forums for similar incidents, but the few I've found all seem to be mod related, but Oscar Zulu is part of the vanilla game. Which worries me the most. If a mod causes trouble I can just get rid of it, but Oscar Zulu is part of the game itself. Even if this doesn't affect any other part of the game I would still appreciate any help finding a solution, because this shouldn't be happening. Thank you all, in advance.

It's a http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Signal_Oscar_Zulu, although I didn't know about it until today.

Wow, I had no idea. Thanks for the info. Well I guess this alleviates my fear of a growing problem looming over me. So long as this is the only thing affected I can live with that. Though it is an odd thing to happen, surprised it was never fixed. Anyway, thanks again.

Possible codec issue. You can try disabling all your mods and see if the problem returns. Just don't overwrite any saves and don't load autosaves. You can make a new manual save before you disable your mods then load that save after your done testing. You could also try a game cache verify if you havent already. It is a minor issue as you really only need the radio signal until you find the location.
