Booting to Android 4.2 with a USB

Post » Sat May 17, 2014 10:58 pm

I've already burned it with Unetbootin, and I'm not quite sure what's going wrong! When I boot from it, I get the norm, and I choose to "Boot from LiveCD (no installation)". And when I do that, I get sort of a command line interface. It starts to launch.

"Unpacking Linux"

"Something about ELF"

"Booting Android..."

And then it seems to freeze, I can still see the underscore flashing, but nothing happens. I then hit ENTER, in which case I get a sort of frozen colored static screen.

Has anybody had this?

You're doing this on a PC? If so, I'm assuming you're using Android-x86...is your hardware supported by the Android-x86 project? As far as I know it won't necessarily work on just any PC hardware.

Yes I'm using Android x86. I don't know if my hardware is supported. I just tried the same USb stick on another computer and it worked fine.

I guess that's it then. Thank you for the help.
