It's new for me because I only received this update some 2 weeks ago. Basically, google maps are now a bit different...and VERY VERY slow. I have no idea why, my computer should be able to handle this website perfectly. I never had any problems before.

When I say slow, I mean can't-navigate-the-maps-slow. It's really annoying, plus I can't seem to get the roads show (just the satellite images). I'm on Firefox. I'd like to check it out on Chrome but I haven't been able to load the browser up in weeks. I get a "Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed. Relaunch now?" message when I try to open it. Tried reinstalling the browser but no dice.

Any help?

I haven't noticed a change. If anything, it's loading a bit faster for me, it seems.

Yea, the new Google Maps is slower for me. Firefox 22.0. You should be able to switch to "Classic Google Maps" using the menu on the top right corner.

Hey thanks man! I've switched back to the classic google maps. It was perfect for my needs.
