NPC Functionality and MCA slight uncompatibility

So NPC Functionality is one of my favorite mods for Morrowind: it allows you to create companions out of anybody in game and form parties or militias or even raiding parties. This goes wonderfully with NPC addition mods such as Starfire's and MCA, but the issue I'm finding is that MCA is rather unreceptive towards forming parties with its generic NPC's. The reason for this is because any combat NPC in MCA, whether it be a fighter or rogue or mage, has a guard type dialogue option attached to them that allows them to bring you to a guard and basically prevent you from being turned into a pulp in a tavern by angry warriors and mages if you accidentally pick up a spoon you weren't supposed to.

However, NPC Functionality works in a way which disallows you from conscripting guards into your party unless you belong to their faction. However, MCA's many random mages, rogues, thieves, paladins, warriors, and general combat riff-raff don't fall into any faction category. Thus, there are giant piles of hirable combat individuals sitting around, unrecruitable. I know I can make due with Arjun's Lords Men, Starfire's NPCs, the MCA companions, and other NPC's lying around... But it does kind of bug me still. Is there any way to fix this beyond sifting through every MCA NPC and taking off the guard script? Is there a simple way to edit NPC Functionality so I can recruit anybody even if they are a guard of a different faction? Any other bright ideas?

Thanks for any help, its just a nitpick I've always wanted to fix.
