Any mods that disable battle music?

Or, better yet, start the explore track where it left off before that Cliff Racer accosted me like a flying girl scout. Nothing frustrates me more than when I'm rocking out to some great song in my explore folder, and it gets cut off by an obnoxious mudcrab before I get to the good part.

I know Better Music System does this, but I'm not looking for a music overhaul or a soundtrack expansion. And once PeterBitt finishes his Morrowind Acoustic Overhaul I'll probably be using that, but is there anything else that might sate me for now?

You could use the MCP and a mod that use scripts to play the explore tracks. (MCP includes an option that prevents scripted music from being interrupted.)

I plan to make NMMw do this too, but it'll probably be dependent on MaO for that module so you'll have to wait. For now Better Music System seems like your best bet. You could of course just mute the game's music and then loop the game's explore music with your media player while playing the game, it would do the same thing you wanted for the time being.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=22 has a setting to have no track interruption. This means that when a fight starts, the currently playing music will continue. If it ends and the fight is still going on, then the fight music will then start. But in my experience most fights end before this happens anyway.

You can also hotkey music volume control and track skipping.

Note that you do not have to use any of the other features such as the fps related options.

In MAO we have battle music dependant on player level and creature health, in three (or four) steps:

1. no battle music (doesnt interrupt explore music)

2. regular battle music

3. battle music for hard enemies

(4. boss music fitting to the corresponding explore track)

Also, one-hit kills with the bow never interrupt explore music, wich insnt the case in vanilla MW.

you don't need a mod for this. Just delete all mp3 files in you "Music/Battle/" folder.

Does that work? I always figured doing that would either make the game CTD or make the game skip explore tracks during combat. Does it actually just disable battle music?
