it seems that Gogron gro-Bolmog has disappeared from the Cheydinhal Dark Brotherhood sanctuary, how do i get him back?

If you are X-Box be sure you are searching both the training and sleeping rooms, and such. Otherwise reload a save and look.

On the PC you could try the tilde key and typing codes:

I am really bad at consol commands, these may work to update your quest or not

If the NPC is not visible after those commands, then the character may have been disabled, so type:

enable

i am playing on the PC.

i'm not currently doing the Purification, but it's next on the questline and i want to make sure i'll be able to complete it once it start it.

when i type in player.moveto 00025744 it teleports me to a spot in the training room directly in front of one of the practice dummies. could it be he's training, but is currently in some kind of invisible/noclip mode?

Sometimes DB members will because of unknown reasons fight each other, and since Gogron is not essential, it's possible that somebody killed him and his body disappeared when the cell reset. It happened in my case with M'raaj-Dar, and there weren't any problems with the Purification quest.

If he is dead the Purification should update based on that, yet supposing he is dead you could try to resurrect him

or if he got disabled, (still that is kind of a weird glitch)

And no worries about purification, later, after killing everyone, if Purification fails (at stage 10), you can tell the quest to update:

setstage Dark09RetirementFIN 20

The Purification is now complete. Every Dark Brotherhood member based out of the Cheydinhal Sanctuary has been killed. I must now report back to Lucien Lachance at Fort Farragut.

Odd thing about that one, I think if you were to type it before killing everyone the Sanctuary would be stuck in 'super warm and loving' mode. No clue how the game will play after that but I think the idea is so funny I may try it someday.

ok i completed purification. sadly i didn't get to kill Gogron, i was looking forward to an epic battle with him
