Games you just can't get into?

Do you have games that you just can't get into? Series that you enjoyed several versions of but after a while became stale?

For me, it's got to be Far Cry 2. I just...I just can't get into this game. I loved Far Cry 1. Loved Far Cry 3 and enjoy the crap out of Blood Dragon. But 2 just feels so empty. I just started it back up last night. I got through the tutorial mission and was like....meh..this game bores me. Which is the exact reaction I've had every time I try to play this game.

Far Cry 1, from what I remember felt real..aside from the weird monsters. Far Cry 3 made me actually feel for the characters involved and made me sad at times. Also, the world was alive and had things to do. I loved just sight seeing, hang gliding. Climbing up as high as I can go and just looking out over the world. I really loved hunting and crafting things. Sure, once you beat the game the world became kind of dead. But even then it was cool to just explore. But Fare Cry 2. I don't care about either faction. I find the outposts to be an absolute chore to attack or bypass. There's nothing in the world to look at. Very few wild animals. I feel like I'm trapped in a bowl in Far Cry 2. In Far Cry 3 if I wanted to go someplace all I had to do was point my character in that direction. In 2 the world seems small. And it's surrounded by impassable mountain ranges. Everything looks the same. The towns are dead and lifeless, there is no one in any town except the two factions and they are completely boring.

Does Far Cry 2 ever open up? Does the landscape open up? What is up with the watch thing? Oh, and the Malaria thing, seriously, can it be any more annoying?

I just can't get into Vampire: Bloodlines. I loved Vampire: Redemption, even re-purchased it from GoG just two days ago, lol. But I can't get into Bloodlines. I know there is a good game somewhere underneath the layers of clunky interface, controls, and strange 180 degree FoV camera, but I just can't find it.
