Skyre Question

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 12:30 pm

I have recently downloaded Skyre and watched the instructional video by Gopher on how to install the mod. The installation went fine, and everything was working properly. Later, I realized that certain vanilla armors such as leather had a higher rating than what it had previously. I went back to Gopher's video and followed his instructions on how to fix this problem. I followed them to the letter, but Skyrim still crashed.

I went back and looked at my load order, and noticed that CraftingFix.esp required Dawnguard, which I do not have. I loaded up Skyrim again and it everything worked fine, but the issue of newly downloaded armors not having the right rating is still there. So I either need an older version of the Reprorccer mentioned in Gopher's video to fix that, or buy Dawnguard.

Perhaps one other person (or multiple) who have the immerse armor and weapon sets would tell me one of their armor ratings/damage rating so that I can compare them to my particular armor/weapon. Maybe I won't even need the Reproccer.

With SkyRe all armor in the game have a much higher armor rating, it's normal. It's due to enemies' increased damage and all that goes with combat redesigning.

The versions post 1.0 require all DLC, take a version before the 1.0
Read the requirement for each version.

You can't simply compare armor rating between characters, each character has his own skill...

As we discussed in your other thread, http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1460223-skyre-help/#entry22669898... the vanilla armors didn't need fixing. They were intentionally increased by SkyRe. It's the armors added by other mods. Newly added armor and weapon mods require you to run the ReProccer again. It must be ran, every time you install or uninstall a new mod.

Not sure how you were able to run CraftingFix with a missing master file, in the first place. CraftingFix is an integrated part of SkyRe. The only way you could have started was to have been running an older version before and inadvertently updated to a newer version that required Dawnguard.

If you want to run the game with mods that require DLC content, then you must purchase the DLC. In fact there is no reason not to have all three of them., anyway. They are a wonderful addition to the game.

I realize that, what I meant was the armor rating of that particular armor set. I'm not sure if that's what you meant. I apologies for my continued discussion on this. Skyrim modding is completely new to me and go figure I choose a rather difficult one to start out with :bonk:

Alright... so what I need to do is get an outdated version of the Reproccer that way it doesn't include the Dawnguard.esm, right? And once I find that, I must redo the steps shown in the video on how to run the Reproccer and all that?
