Map Error

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 10:48 am

I've got an error message that pops up only when I first use the map whenever I boot up the game. It says:

"SkyUI Error Code 6 Menu Mismatch for map.swf."

I'm running:

Have you tried the map mods individually/in different combinations in order to pinpoint the problem?

In the Mod Configuration menu, under SkyUI advanced settings you will find SWF Version Checking. Uncheck it (map menu). I got this to when I finally updated to a newer version until I realized I could just disable that annoying message.

I've double checked and they all seem to be simple retextures with no plug-ins.

Thanks. That sorted out the error message, but it doesn't explain the message I would get if I had that function activated. I did do some Googling before to see if there were others with similar problems. I believe the nearest I came up with were false error messages. And like I said above, none of the mods seem to have any plug-ins anyway. I also have all the up to date versions, so I have absolutely no idea what SkyUI is on about!

EzEs -Colored Map Markers contains map.swf.
SkyUI contains map.swf.

SkyUI tags its map.swf with a version. After load, SkyUI checks the version tag.
If it's not there it shows a warning "Error Code 5: Incompatible menu file...".
If it's there but doesn't match the expected version, it shows "Error Code 6: Menu file version mismatch...".

Ahh, so that's it! What's the best way to fix it, or doesn't it really matter?
