So how many of you are Oghma'ing today?

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 11:10 pm

Yes it is. If it's used for something like resurrecting dead NPCs, who are SUPPOSED TO STAY DEAD. Or granting one's self something like Dragon Armor, because, why not?

All those things and more can be accomplished with the console. I'm not accusing it of being abused all the time, but people have done it.

I agree, but there's a difference between a glitch and the console. Either way I'm not sad that the OI glitch is being patched.

Eh, same here I suppose. I went a long time without knowing about the glitch, and used it a couple times just for the novelty of it /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Not that I consider "casual gamer" an insult, because honestly, that's what most people are buuuuut...

Those are some mighty big assumptions you're making in there about me. I enjoy the series quite a bit, really into the games and yes, really into levelling up my characters. Which is why I've run four of them up into the high fourties already before deciding to try new things. One of those new things is alchemy, but I don't know if I'd enjoy it. So I used a game glitch I found on UESP to up my alchemy skill to practice with it for a while before I liked. I then, having kept up with the elder scrolls news and knowing a patch was coming came on the message boards curious to see if the rest of the community was doing something similar while they still had the chance.

That is not the kind of thing most people do. Most people just play the game, and have fun doing it. The developers know this. I would be shocked if they're reading through topics on this forum anolyzing why people use glitches to level their characters. I'd be more surprised if they think that's casual behavior.

Only done the Oghma Ifinium glitch twice on my earlier characters and never done it since (learned the glitch 2-3 months after 3X11). OI glitch svcks the fun out of the game, imo. Rather grind it out.

Never noticed them laying around anywhere. Dwemer gyros, decorative struts but no ingots. =\
It can, but it hasn't.

I didn't mean for that to have sounded snide. reading over it again, one could interpret it as such...

None the less, we don't know what effects it has with the new Legendary mechanics. I mean they don't make special attempts to fix these types of glitches, unless they have adverse complexities. I don't see it as being... coincidental that they are all of a sudden addressing this issue out of the blue.

Please tell me this is meant to be sarcastic...

if not... ahem... you're in for a surprise! /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Right now, Please go click on your local Smelter and scroll through the list of what you can melt into ingots.

All those Decorative Struts, Solid Dwemer Metal, Small/large Dwemer Plates, ect can all be melted back down to net you 3-5 Dwarven Ingots each.

In short: You don't generally loot Dwarven Ingots. You loot Dwemer metal objects and melt them down for Dwarven ingots.

Only things that can't be melted down are the Dwemer dishware, the gyros, levers, cogs and one other doohickey. The rest can be melted down. Soon you'll be swimming in Dwarven Ingots.

No kidding! Jeeez...How did I miss that?

I even edited that comment out of his quote for my reply...lol

I think the rule of thumb is, if it starts with the word 'Dwemer" it cannot be smelted down. The exception being... Scrap Metal or something like that. Which is ironic as it is...well, scrap metal.

Nope, didn't know you could convert that stuff into ingots. Thanks. Sure gonna need a follower to carry that heavy load.

I won't. I even can't /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

I will reset the skills I use all the time while playing regularly...and thats the story how I will continue leveling.

Question: Is it possible now to get every perk of every perk tree?
