But a Broken Steel type DLC would have been like locking you in a room with virtual reality and life extension. /twirl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':twirl:' />

Not so much really. I imagine it would just be a handful of quests with a possibly win or fail ending, but eventually my character would still find themselves pondering where best to put his most promiment loot in Casa De Dragonborn for display. Or having a beer and watching the sunset from the top of the enchanters tower wing. Or firing up Arvok for a trip into town.
Besides...The game doesn't end. What possibly could an ending extension with both the Civil War and Alduin put to bed accomplish that Dragonborn didn't cover?

The thalmor......they could have easily made a dlc that had the empire, or stormcloaks have some kind of final show down ALA Broken steel with the enclave. Espionage, assault, magic bombardments, there were lots of missed opportunities, and im too tired to think anymore...must....sleep.

I'll be perfectly honest, I'm glad they didn't do that. That kind of thing, is clearly a historic event worthy more of it's own game, or even have someone write a novel about it. At this point...I honestly don't care about the Thalmor. They never did anything to my character, and I can count the number of times I've had to deal with them, on one hand.
And still in the end, same difference. I still mosey on down that old dirt road for home and the life of a retired Dragonborn.

Besides, it's not like the Dominion is just waiting on the borders for the Civil War to end. They didn't even fully present themselves as antagonists besides shoving a branding iron up Ulfrics ass.

Compared with the small house dlc for Oblivion it meaty. Less content than the FO3 DLC:
