So I have LE and I noticed that Bonemould is automatically listed in the smithing menu. Glitch? Or I can Smith this right away?

Supposed to require the steel smithing perk to craft it if I recall correctly.

Available with the Steel Smithing perk. You can craft it right away. It needs a lot if Bone Meal though.

Yeah I just noticed I have Steel smithing perk. Are the netch requirements only available on Solstheim?

Yes. All the armor has its pieces on Solstheim. Other than Nordic Carved, everything else is located on the island.

Nordic carved ingredients aren't in Solstheim? Also, no Solstheim ingredients are sold in Skyrim?

What I meant was this.

Nordic Carved has the pieces all over Skyrim and Solstheim. It needs Quicksilver and Ebony.

The rest like Chitin, Bonemold, and Stalhrim are only found on Solstheim. You can't get they pieces they need in Skyrim.

Thanks Shadow.

Edit: Can't Bone Meal be found in Skyrim?

Can I just eliminate that guard when you first get off the ship and loot his Bonemold?

Don't. You can find a dead one when you travel along the eastern road out of Raven Rock.

No, no, no. Don't go killing innocent people for their armor, you'll be no better than a common crook. :nono:

But you're free to make your own set, loot it off Reavers and already dead guards, or buy some.

There is a dead redoran guard with a full set of bonemold near the island, (where you meet captin veleth.) just take the armor from him.

You can take a normal set of bonemold armour from the dead redoran guard where you meet captain Veleth. But If you want bonemold guard armour (Which has a trendy looking scarf wrapped around it) you'll need to make it. it takes ten bonemeal, an iron ingot and some netch leather, if remember correctly.

Oh man, I sure miss all the kewl Morrowind armor...
And (while I think of it) Improved Bonemold armor is definitely not "improved"...
Whose dopey idea was it to make it weigh far more, with similar spec's?
