I don't know if it is something to do with the swords, but whenever I use the Elemental Fury shout in combination with two scimitars, the world bends their knee to me.

I'm currently playing a Redguard assassin/thief with dual daggers and dual scimitars as backup, and whenever I have to utilize those lovely curved swords, everything around me suddenly is victim to the hurricane.

I've tested this many times and while daggers are supposed to be the fastest-swinging weapon, the Scimitar swings twice-as-fast when using only the first word of Elemental Fury. In combination with the Redguard's stamina regeneration racial bonus, I can spam power-attacks and become a literal tornado of death.

My character is level 28-30 and with an unsmithed and somewhat perked Scimitar can almost insta-kill a Draugr deathlord. About 2-3 power-attacks, he is down.

When going into 3rd person in attempt to view the power-attack animation, I had trouble because it was over so quickly. He starts to swing, then blurs into a spin and it's over, no more than a second in total.

I don't know if others know about this and/or utilize this, but it is truly awesome!

I believe the problem with using two daggers is the animation where the characters flips one of the daggers for coolness effect actually slows down the movement to the point where it's actually slower than two swords or something like that. And yes, I tried two scimitars with elemental fury and it's just madness. Pure awesome madness.

Man that sounds brutal. That shout only works with non enchanted weapons right?

Unenchanted/unbound non-bows.

Unless you have mods.

Too bad you can't do it with enchanted weapons. Put Absorb Health enchants on the scimitars, and you'd be an indestructible beast.

Elemental Fury and dual attacking with daggers IS SLOW. If you use any other power attack with one of the daggers, you attack much faster. So using dual daggers with Elemental Fury shout is actually detrimental. Use regular weapons.

Also, that is an amazing combination. Scimitars are amazing, especially for Khajiit due to their partial dessert dwelling.

Never thought to use a scimitar. Are they faster than, say, a Silver Sword or an Ebony Sword or something? Or are they just cool?

Should be even faster if you put one dagger in your left hand and keep the scimitar in the right hand. If I remember correctly, you should swing at dagger speed, but keep the sword animation.

No. Swords have the same swing speed. It does look nice though.
