Red Year and Winterhold College

So, Red Year. The ingenium at Vivec City's Ministry of Truth gets destroyed and the moon continues its fall as if it was never interrupted, the shock leading to the explosion of the Red Mountain and the destruction of — to my knowledge — about half of Vvardenfell.

My question is, how was this effect seen at the College of Winterhold? The ash cloud was most likely visible, but would it reach all the way there and rain ash or would the winds from the Sea of Ghosts push it back? And would they hear the explosion as a thunder-like sound like the Egyptians supposedly did when Santorini blew up? And if you drew a straight line between the main caldera of Vvardenfell and the College of Winterhold, how long would that distance be?

The tsunami that was caused by the Ministry crashing into Vivec supposedly reached all to the way to Summerset, though its unclear if it affected Winterhold directly. It's also worth nothing that Winterhold was wracked by storms for upwards around a year, which possibly tied into the towns destruction.

How would the tsunami wipe across the entirety of Tamriel? Or was it started by the eruption and go around Nirn to hit Summerset? The storms that supposedly were the cause of Winterhold's downfall happened later, though. The Great Collapse was in 4E 122, the Red Year in 4E 5.
