Most Marriageable?

By "best" I mean "least gimped by being married." I'm sure we're all aware of the problem where you marry someone, and they go from being an interesting character to a walking signboard who lives in your house.

But what's the best marital arrangement you've found? The character who loses the least, or even gains from being married to the PC?

Probably a housecarl, since they hardly have any personality to begin with.

I don't marry for the dialog, my character marries who they love.

So I guess I can't answer this question.

I've tried marrying a non-combat NPC and a Housecarl, and I honestly prefer the "civilian" for lack of a better word. It made more sense to me for Camilla or Ysolda to open a store in my house than it did for Jordis.

I personally think Serana is the most marriageable, for RP reasons, but we all know how that's fated to go.

I vote for a housecarl or a non-follower. As much as I like the ability to marry, I think merchant services should have only been available for non-combatant spouses. Spouses who can also be followers should have perhaps offered training instead.
