according to wikia some weapons such as the metal blaster's damage will difer when using vats. what other weapon damage is effected by vats and by not using vats?

Guns that deal out spread damage are effected in and out of VATS. Like the Terrible Shotgun!

Basically what happens is that VATS will sometimes only register the guns base damage rather than it's spread multiplier.
