I've been gone for a while but felt the need to revisit Skyrim.I downloaded Dragonborn and started a new character.The only reason I did Dawnguard was for the crossbow but now I have the visual c problem.I checked online and it appears to be Jiub causing all the problems.I really don't want to go back to the Soul Cairn,not my favorite place.Is there a way to finish the quest with a console command and will this work?

Never had this problem myself, but yes, there are ways to finish quests with console commands.

So, for the Jiub quest, that would be "Setstage DLC1VQSaint 200" to complete the quest, or "Completequest DLC1VQSaint".

Don't know if this will fix your error, but might be worth the try.

Has anyone with this problem tried to complete the quest this way?I also found Setstage DLC1VQSaint 30 or SetObjectiveCompleted DLC1VQ Saint 20 1.This freezing is driving me nuts and I really don't want to go back to the cairn.
