Anyone know a good way to disable console commands?

Post » Tue May 27, 2014 11:52 pm

I find myself using tgm and other cheats too often. I want to disable it,but I also want to be able to re-enable,preferably out of game.So if I have to use i have to quit game turn on and then use them, that way it takes enough trouble I won't do it mid-fight. Just in case I get stuck or something.

Any help?

Don't think you can disable it.

I think there might be an .ini tweak for this, but a quick google doesn't show anything very concrete.

Try assigning the key that brings up the console to another function in the controls options of the game. I have no idea if this is possible though.

Edit: good news! You can assign that key to the "take screenshots" feature in Steam. I haven't tried in game yet.

No, tgm is a command that devs and modders use to test things.

How you use it might be considered a cheat. However in a single player game there really isn't any "cheating". How you play your game only affects you, no one else.

So, a command that allows the player not to take any damage from anything in the game is not a cheat? Really? Of course, it's a cheat.

I tried re-assigning the console key to something else in game but it doesn't work. Same thing if I assign it to taking screeshots in Steam. The console pops up anyway. :(

Willpower seems the way to go. Disabling console commands (if it's possible) doesn't sound too healthy for your game.
