Hello! I'm having a problem to start the quest "Trouble on the Homefront", which for those who do not remember, is the mission that let you get inside Vault 101 once again. The only way to start this mission is hearing the Vault 101 PA System frequency to get the password that will open the vault door. The problem is:

- The first time I tried to hear, the signal was lost.

- After while, I was able to tune in the frequency, but there was no sound coming from.

- I was only able to receive the signal inside the Vault 101 entrance.

My progress until now:

- Already completed the main quests.

- Completed Point Lookout DLC.

I would like to know if it's a general bug and how can I get the quest by listening the frequency without using any console commands. In a forum, they said that if you complete The Pitt DLC, returning to the Capital Wasteland the signal would work...proceed with the information???

As I understand it, you only have a limited window for picking up the frequency. I always get it when I return to Megaton after completing the Waters of Life quest. If you don't head over to the vault during that window, then that quest is closed to you forever. I'm guessing you just waited too long.

Nicho is right. It's only available for a limited time after Water of Life. Once that window is closed, your only option is the console.

Trouble on the Homefront becomes inaccessible once you retrieve the GECK from Vault 87, but will remain accessible until this event happens. If you have a save file prior to entering Vault 87, you can reload it and head to Vault 101 to complete the quest. If not, you'll need to restart a new game.

Which system is it for PC or console cause I know on console, X-Box 360 and others that if you travel to the Pitt and then back the broadcast should resume
