Cant use Tanning rack : V

For some reason I cant seem to use any tanning racks. I get the text that it is a tanning rack when I look at it and I get the activation click sound when I activate it but nothing happens. Forges, tables, and grindstones work. Playing on PC with a new character.

Hit a guard as hard as you can then let him take you to jail. Try after that the tanning rag again. !!!

If you haven't already, install the unofficial Skyrim patch and any of the DLC's you (may) have.

Yeah I have all USKP needed for game and dlc. I'll try going to jail when I can play tonight.

have you added any animation mods? Or have you changed the height of your character?

I know when Dragonborn DLC first came out I could not mine ore, or float up to see Neloth or even ride dragons. it was like the animation was missing. When my PC broke and I transferred everything to a new PC, everything worked after that. What ever missing file I had must have been installed with the transfer. Maybe something similar is happening with you.

Is it only tanning racks? what about improvement tables or grinding wheels?

Didnt work.

Those work fine, but I also discovered smelters not working either.

Try to disable Frostfall.
