ok so a while ago I tried to marry someone and I cant remember but I guess I either never went to the ceremony or I rejected him at the last minute or something....in any case, Everytime I go talk to him, he says, "I should bash your face in after what you've done." and when I talk to the guy in the temple, he says that I need to work it out with the guy before the temple will marry us.

What gives?? What do I need to do? I've tried selling the amulet, ive tried talking to these two in various orders, I've talked to him inside and outside the house, and ive tried standing and waiting a whole 24 hours. I even shut down Steam and restarted, hoping it was just a glitch or something...

Does anyone know how to fix this?? I'm playing on PC btw

there should be dialog with the person you stood up at the alter that either says you want to try again, or that you changed your mind. Make sure your wearing the amulet though. it might be required to see the dialog.

nope....ive been all over Riften and nothing has changed...the guy is at his shop going about his normal business other than that one nasty comment...the guy im spose to talk with walks around the temple and that's it

have you worn the amulet of mara when talking to the one you wanted to marry?

yep ive actually never taken it off since except to sell it and buy back

well your on the PC so maybe there is a console command to reset this. I don't know of any myself. or look for a divorce mod on Nexus that may also reset it.

can you load a save from before you pissed him off?

nope...that was waaayy too long ago unfortunetly...

the console reset quest commands aren't working either...tried several ones
