i currently am at frostcrag tower and have the candles for the enchanting alter.

i also have fin gleam. as well as some filled soul gems.

the problem is that i cannot get an option to enchant night eye onto the amulet. just get these options.

fire damage

fortify attribute

fortify magicka

frost damage

shield

apologies for being thick but how do i go about enchanting night eye onto something?

You have to know the spell night eye in order to enchant something with it ^^ You don't disenchant items to learn their effects like in Skyrim.

Calindil at the Mystic Emporium in the Imperial City can sell it to you.

By the way if your illusion skill is below 25 you will need to level it by casting starlight...he also sells that spell.

P.S. If you don't want to do this I suggest getting to an oblivion gate, getting to the sigil stone and then saving right before taking it....then simply reload until it spawns a night eye sigil stone. Then you don't even need equipment or an altar to enchant it!
