Model flickers when set to Motion_Keyframed on load

Hey guys I'm having a very strange problem with the bear trap model (Meshes\traps\beartrap\beartrap01.nif). I've created a Misc Object using this model, and if I place one in the world from my inventory, set the motion type to Keyframed, leave the area and come back, the model looks like it is invisible.

It actually flickers between visible and invisible, and also seems to be slightly below where I originally left it.

I don't get the problem at all if I just leave it alone and don't set the motion type, however I need it to stay in the same place.

Has anyone else come across a problem like this before?

Note:

I have tried saving the XYZ positions and then setting them when the object Loads again, and for testing I set the Z to +20. If was floating above the ground (as you'd expect) but flickering.

Ok I've tested a couple of times now and it seems using the following method doesn't cause the problem:

ObjectRef.SetMotionType(4)

Weird.
