I want to find a good male follower for my necromancer. I'm looking for someone who is gruff and evil aligned if possible because I want to deck this follower out like a death knight later on. I've used Vorstag in the past but his demeaner is too cheery for this build.

Any suggestions?

I don't think any vanilla male follower suits a necromancer.

I might have to since most of the vanilla male followers seem too cheery.

If you're looking for follower mods maybe Hoth? My favourite male follower mod is Inigo though~ As far as vanilla followers go I'm not too sure, maybe one of the followers from the Orc strongholds?

EDIT: Also there are a few followers from Interesting NPCs who may fit the criteria, especially the guy you find in the Ratway Warrens~

Yeah I thought about Hoth,but you can't make him change his equipment. While Hoth does look awesome the way he comes, I was hoping for more of a dark heavy armor look.

Orc strongholds is a great idea. I'll definitely look into this.

He's certainly wicked looking but I'm searching for a pure heavy warrior type.

How about Ahtar? Doesn't get much more grim than the only executioner in Solitude.

This may be better in the Skyrim mods section.

Can you even get him to follow you? Ahtar sounds great!
