I am starting a new playthrough, finally, with my new custom class. Need some Need some help to see if my idea is plausible though. I will heavily RP this playthrough, and what I mean by that is that i will stick to certain rules and guidelines set by myself and follow what my char would do from his back story. The build I am using is below.
Spectre:
Stealth
Willpower and Agility
Major :
Blade
Light Armor
Sneak
Security
Destruction
Illusion
Armorer
I was going to use Alteration instead of Illusion but decided to do the manual lock-picking instead. Also, I was stuck between Alchemy, Marksmen and Mercantile for the last major skill but in the end Armorer seemed a better fit. I can't stand being compelled to pick every ingredient I see for Alchemy and since i am on a horse, it is tedious to get off and back on so often. The Spectre build is a stealth char aided by Illusion magic that will end up being a thief/.assassin. I plan on doing the following quest-lines in no particular order save the main quest first.
Main Quest
Shivering Isle
Thieves Guild
Dark Brotherhood
Daedric Quests
I may add more but for now that's the goal. I want to wait on the DB and TG until I reach level 30 though. I also wanted to make this a more challenging playthrough, my idea is to spam all my major skills up to 50 (Journeyman) before the start of any quests. That will start me off at around level 12 or so. This will accomplish two things, 1. The world will have leveled up as well and the enemies and loot as well. This will make it much harder to navigate the gates I have done a million times and make it more of a challenge. 2. I will be able to utilize more of the Illusion spells that fit the class build, i.e. Invisibility and silence. I also just feel that for his backstory to hold any water, he had to at least have a journeyman's knowledge of the skills he possesses.
Here are my my RP rules and backstory (brief version)
1. No fast travel
2. Run only when necessary
3. Can only carry 2 swords and 2 daggers as weapons able of use. Others may be in inventory for selling purposes.
4. Can only use blades since that is the only major skill weapon wise
5. Sleep once a day either in an Inn or simulate sleep in the wilderness by using the wait feature
6. Eat at least once a day
7. Stick to the 2 schools of magic known Destruction and Illusion
8. Don't accept any quests my char would not accept
9. Stick to what my char would do in situations regardless of what I know may produce a better outcome
Figgin is a Dunmer from Morrowind. He was a Morag Tong agent and rose in the ranks fast. He was chosen to be a Spectre, an elite part of the Tong (non-lore I know). Much like a black ops agent. When he refused to carry out his last contract, a child and his mother, he was banished from the Tong and sent to exile in secret to the Imperial Dungeon so not to let out any of the Tong's secrets. They thought he would rot in that cell for life.
Please give your input into this and tell me if this will be a viable playthrough or not. Also, give any suggestions or feedback. I am on a PS3 again so please, no mod suggestions.
