Soliciting friendly advice. I am looking for solid RPGs to play. I think I've finally burnt out on Skyrim, but I may get a second wind. I was/am playing Kingdoms of Amalur, but I've been through that game at least once, and I remember it gets very VERY repetitive in the end. It has been a good while since I played Oblivion. I have this memory in my head about how it chugged on the 360 and the graphics were less than impressive (good for that time though certainly).
For those that jumped back into Oblivion after Skyrim, was it difficult to move past the float movement and graphical downgrade or did you enjoy the game so much it didn't matter? I play on the 360 so no mods. If I wasn't going to play Oblivion, do you have any other RPGs to reccomend besides the ones I've listed? For the record, I've Mass Effected out already, so don't bother chucking that one out. I'm not against older titles too; can always see what Gamestop has.
I appreciate any feedback!
edit: Just saw the post about should I play Oblivion... I feel somewhat like a fail. After reading responses from that though, I wanted to clarify 2 things:
1) I've played Oblivion before and I loved it. My main issue with wanting to pick it up again is not enjoying it as much as Skyrim b/c of the floaty way characters used to move and the overall graphical inferiority. I also wanted to know if there are solid RPGs outside of these games others are enjoying before I went back to a staple.
2) The OP of the other post mentioned lagging when he played. I don't think I saw anyone answer that question correctly. Basically, I remember quite distinctly that the game would "chug" or slow down considerably when I entered heavily forested areas or parts of the game world that were filled with flora. It made adventuring outside of Cheydinal very bothersome. Is that an issue that is still present in the game or is it pretty much gone, except for rare occasional occurences.
