Statistically Strongest Enemy?

What enemy hits for the most physical damage?

I am preforming an experiment at the moment to see if base damage dealt from an enemy effects exp gain.

Probably the deathlords. They are the ones that have always given me the most trouble.

But I highly doubt the damage they do effects your exp.

Like i said, its an experiment, just to know for sure, because i was having a mammoth attack me and noticed i was getting alot more experience than when i let someone attack me in a brawl, but i could be wrong, of course.

You are correct, higher level opponents that do more damage do cause the Block Skill to increase faster.

Thanks, i already confirmed it just a moment ago, i saved the game, attacked a guard, let him attack me 4 times, ran away, then let the mammoth mentioned before attack me 4 times, and the results spoke for themselves.

Question, is it the level of the enemy that effects it, or base damage?

For me, it seems tied between a the highest level of fus-roh-dah, ebony bow carrying Deathlords and Falmer warmongers (in armor, not mages)... maybe the the highest level dual-wielding Briarhearts as well. Highest level magicians maybe tops, but enough PC development the *toughest* magic-wielding hombres are not that tough.

Neither: it's total damage prevented. Suppose you're armour and block capped: 80% and 85% respectively. When you block the 900 damage of an Ancient Dragon Bite on Legendary difficulty, you will only take 27 (3% of 900) damage; the other 873 which were absorbed will count toward your Block skill increase.

(Edit: typo, should be 873 and not 863.)

I have tested same enemies on different difficulties, it matters not, of course i could test it again, but it would make for the 10th difficulty test.

Edit: infact Difficulty Modifiers do not effect Experience, so novice is best to level defensive skills because your health is least effected.

I haven't fought him myself, but I've heard the Ebony Warrior is the toughest/hardest enemy to fight.
