First off, I know very well that it is unpopular for people to make a thread on the civil war, but this is with a little twist. A twist I have done a couple of times in the past, long ago, but an important twist nonetheless. My question is this:

If your favorite race, assuming it is not Nord, was rebelling against the Empire, which side would you support, all other factors being equal? Let me clarify what I mean by that.

• Your favorite race, for the sake of the question, is under the rule of another people, like the Nords in Skyrim are now. If your favorite race is Imperial, for example, imagine Cyrodiil being the province of another nation's empire. Or, if your favorite is one of the Dominion aligned races, imagine the situation reversed. The Cyrodilic Empire invaded and forced a treaty like the WGC on the Dominion lands.
• The Empire outlaws a god of significant cultural importance. For example Akatosh for the Imperials, Y'ffre for the Bosmer, you fill in the blanks. Like Talos worship under the WGC, being caught worshiping could lead to being arrested or kidnapped, to be tortured and killed. Having, or being believed to have, knowledge of a cult to X god could result in the same(ask a Justiciar with a prisoner what he has done to see example of this in Skyrim).
• The Empire fought a war in the recent past that ended in a stalemate where the original cause of the war, a demand for a conditional surrender, was the result.
• The accusations of racism and only wanting X race in Y province being present towards the rebels.
• The accusations towards the rebellion's leader; only being in it for self-serving reasons.
• The pro-Empire people saying it is for the Greater Good. And things like "What the rebels like to forget is that the Empire is what's keeping the Dominion out of Skyrim", with appropriate context for your favorite race.

And if your favorite race is Nord, the poll should be easy enough without clarification.

The last couple of polls I did with this question had interesting results. I wonder if it will repeat itself.
