I've used hotmail for a long time, but now they ask for personal information (phone number etc), claiming it is for security reasons, and it will become obligatory within 7 days. I find that uncomfortable, and wonder if you know of any good email accounts that are free and that don't require giving the company too much personal information.

Yahoo does the same thing now.
