Hi, i am a user from Linux, and i am migrating all games to linux.
I am turning off this system (windows) , the only problem is i need my partition from windows to keep running my games, only that.
Can you port the last games from bathesda to Linux ?
Like Doom 4 and Doom 3 (and BFG edition), Rage, Fallout 3 (and 4...) , end other....

This forum is just the community forum, the developers of Bethesda virtually never read these forums. If you actually want to direct a comment to them you have a better chance of it reaching them if you use the "contact us link" and email them. It still not get to them, but it has a better chance.

You'd be surprised, though.

One major thing to consider is if the Gamebryo engine is Windows-only. Porting takes a lot of time and money when the software doesn't support it.

I don't think ZeniMax Media Inc. and Bethesda Softworks will support Linux any time soon. Mac most likely but Linux no.

The Linux market is just not big enough for some AAA publishing companies to release the PC versions of their video games for sale. Let alone earn a lot of money.

They probably won't reach 2 million sales on Linux.

The Gamebryo engine supports Linux/Mac OS X (through OpenGL)

One question to ask is, how many Linux users want this? Sure there is you, and i don't mean to downplay your request, just how much would Bethesda make from this, time and money is definitely a factor, if what they stand to gain is less than their loss, it probably wont fly.

I would suggest a petition really, if a certain number of people agree with you, it probably would stand a good chance.

These days the only thing I use Windows for at home is to run games. Wine just doesn't work as well as running them natively, if it works at all. So I am with you. I'd ditch my windows partition in a heartbeat if I could. That said, PC support is probably a dev's nightmare with all the different hardware permutations even on one OS. Linux hardware support has gotten worlds better but is still hit and miss. I hope with steam and gog actually devoting paid resources to distributing games on Linux that that will become a non-issue in the near future. They can't charge for games that don't work and not offer support, so we'll see.

just wait till the Steam OS comes out, its Linux based and is litterally designed for gaming

depends what your using it for, in a lot of cases Linux is far superior to any of Microsofts Operating Systems (such as when running a Server)..

If Bethesda's games were on Linux. I think that'd be the day I would switch.

No one puts games on Linux because it has so few users, and it has so few users because no one puts games on Linux. Negative feedback loop. Maybe Valve can break it, as they are the only ones trying to right now.
