M'aiq has always wondered...

What operating system do you use?

M'aiq uses Windows. Windows beats all.

I use Windows and Mac.

Mac for work, Windows for play.

M'aiq, can you change the poll to include multiple answers?

i use Multiple, each for a separate purpose, as each OS has its strengths and weaknesses..

the PC i am typing this on has 1 Windows Partition and 2 Linux Partitions, my laptop has 1 Linux and 1 Windows, my work Station has one Mac and one Windows, my "experiment" PC has 2 Windows and 1 Linux, and my Server runs off a Linux OS

care to Elaborate on why? Linux beats any Windows OS when it comes to running servers.. Mac is a lot more user friendly..

you can't really make a statement like that without backing it up with why

Better for gaming... In M'aiq's opinion that is.

FreeBSD for servery things and development, Linux by preference for my desktop but Windows 7 from a practicality viewpoint because I like gaming, VMS for faffing about on when I'm on one of my "computers used to be more interesting" nostalgia trips.

Linux. It is, in my humble opinion, the perfect operating system in every way.

I use Windows. I'm not really a tech person or programmer, so I use what comes with the comp. Also, I play a lot of games too.

I do use Firefox instead of IE, but I'm not sure if that pertains to this thread though.

I've been using Windows since I was a kid.. I'm not familiar with the others, but my dad has worked a lot with Linux and knows it well. He has mentioned multiple times in the past that I should learn Linux, and I might one day try my hand at it.. but I don't know exactly when that will be.

I use Windows, but I use Linux rarely to fix things in Windows.
