Bethesda would be fools not to release Skyrim for next gen

Release Skyrim on next gen consoles...

http://www.gamesradar.com/why-we-need-skyrim-next-gen-consoles/

It makes perfect sense, it would cost them practically nothing, they know people would buy it because of the drought of quality games currently out, it would earn them great publicity because the game is great and would play even greater with the next gen hardware. R* are doing it with GTAV and I bet it won't even seem that much different than current gen GTAV than the difference we would see in Skyrim on next gen. Just imagine walking around the Solitude swamps in perfect 60fps. Bethesda have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Perhaps they are already working on it?

They're done with Skyrim.

Hopefully they're testing the frying capacity of mutant animals...

This.

Skyrim is DONE, over with, finished. The devs had said this. They have moved their focus on future titles like the next Fallout. Maybe even started concept of the next TES game. But they have very clearly stated they are done with Skyrim. No more DLC, no more patches. That ship has sailed.

I want to cry everytime one of these threads pop up, it never ends!

First off, how many games have you ported? Do you know what it requires?Even if it is easy, the profit wouldnt be anything to cough at... I for one would sooner buy Skyrim for the PC then on a PS4 or Xbox One.

I can't tell you how much i protest, not only that, but they have two main series they have to work on, Fallout, and TES. Dwelling to long on one series would make the other series fan base aggrivated, and antsy.

Another thing is IF, which i hope not, but IF they ported it, they wouldnt do it so close to the port of other games, big games that could draw attention away from their game. Having multiple AAA games or games of large following in general would draw attention away from certsin games, people would begin to make a choice.

Not this again. They're finished. I thought the last hundred threads would get through to some people.

Don't be rude :nono:

If you don't like a thread, don't post in it. It's that simple.

I am sorry, aggeivation can lead to many things... It is not meant as an insult, it is my honest reaction i wont just post my dislike, i would like to post valid points aswell.

But i still stand by my other points. As i see it, Bethesda has more to profit and gain from future projects, but it seems the community is somewhat divided, i suppose it could go either way, but i still lean towards new things.

Oh you~

You are forgetting the differences in hardware/software/coding compatability. So no, it would not cost practically nothing~

I think it's time for them to move onto bigger and better things.

Any console gamers wanting to experience Skyrim without the limitations of the last gen consoles can always buy it for the PC, where the modding community will continue improving it for years to come.

If Bethesda really wanted to, they could ship a "Definitive Edition" of Skyrim which includes all the DLC, plus their HD texture pack which was released exclusively for the PC. Getting ENB to work on consoles would be kind of tricky since it was developed for PC's. Another problem with ENB is that it's a matter of taste. Some people prefer to play with a more dramatic color palette, or play with film grain and bokeh depth of field. Figuring out how to incorporate everyone's preferences or finding an even middle ground might take a long time.

With all of that in mind, I think it's best to just leave the preservation and restoration of these great titles to the community.

Yes they would be fools, but it's not going to happen.

Also if you think GTA V won't look much different, I think you wil be sorely mistaken. Rockstar has been working this entire time polihsing that game to make it a true next-gen title. By the time Beth would be done with the Skyrim remake, that "drought" will be long over.

Nah, if Beth were smart they would focus on f2p tablet games with a pay-to-win subscription model ^^

I'd be one of those people that got upset to learn fallout and the next tes got delayed so Skyrim could be re-ported.

I don't really think Skyrim deserves a port to the new consoles. it's a good game that you can enjoy for sure, but I didn't think it was anything particularly groundbreaking. Just my opinion.

Many people don't have to imagine, they can actually do it. All you need is PC version of the game and modest rig.
