Get me started please

Greetings fellow Fallout players. Finally got board of Fallout III and I just purchaded a new copy of New Vegas Ultimate Edition.

So stoked to play, but I want to get my ducks in a row before I launch.

So, if you don't mine, give me a list of things I should or must do such as:

Do I need to install an official patch for NV Ultimate Edition?

Does NV have an FWE and MOD manager like FO III? Compatible?

Is there a start up guide/link to get me started?

I don't want a whole bunch of mods, just a handful of the better ones such as visual packs,

weapon packs, and such.

Much appriciation for any suggestions and ideas to get me on the right track.

Oh, BTW. Should I wipe and clean FO III so there wont be any conflicts?

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1502223-first-time-mods/#entry23659907First of all this is the wrong section for mod suggestions. I linked quite a lot in the link. Now in my signature is a YouTube modder. Gopher. He has a modding New Vegas tutorial. Watch it. It'll answer most of your questions.

Couldnt find anything in your links that describe installing and official patchs and mod managers.

Proper installing order, conflicts?

Will google in the mean time. Thanks.

Yeah you can't have more than four links in a signature. So go to YouTube and search Gopher. He has a modding New Vegas ultimate edition. It might be a little old by it's still very important information. Also he has a video about a new mod list organizer called Loot. It will sort your mods and give you a good load order.

Thanks. I'll get right on that when the sun goes down. Need to get out and get some sun and air. I'm sure I'll have more questions. So thanks for all your help. -oldplayer
